Before you touch your mouth, nose and eyes.
Fingers can easily pick up viruses from touching surfaces or other people. If you then touch your mouth, nose or eyes you are likely to infect yourself. Our eyes have tear drains that flow into the nose and so can pass a virus down to it.
The problem is that we often touch our faces without noticing.
e.g. rubbing eyes, resting head on hands, biting fingernails or wiping your nose.
By washing your hands more often you will reduce the chances of passing germs into your body.
Before you eat ANYTHING with your hands.
Most people wash their hands before eating a meal – but often forget that it is especially important to wash your hands before you eat sandwiches, crisps, apples, sweets or anything else you touch with your hands.
